Ruby and her sister Topaz were found outside HSWM on Sunday afternoon. We were closed and they had been shoved into a small crate together and left with a short note stating that both girls are deaf. As with most cattle dogs, Ruby is very smart and outgoing. She has already mastered some hand signals and seems very responsive, especially for a dog who can't hear! Ruby loves leash walks, snuggling and playing with other dogs. While Ruby is a bit more timid than her sister, she will certainly be a wonderful companion for anyone interested in adopting a special needs dog.
