Male Black Lab in Thibodaux, La

I have a Male Black Lab in need of a home. He is a really nice dog. He showed up here after Hurricane Gustav and has not left. He just hung out on our porch for a couple of weeks and gave us no trouble at all until UPS started delivering packages and he decided to chew the boxes. So we had no choice but to put him our kennel. He never uses the bathroom in the kennel. He always waits to go in the grass. He is active (like labs are) but he is not crazy. We have had little kids here and he plays with them, but not so rough that he knocks them down. He will also fetch like crazy. I don't think he would be difficult to train as he really appears to be very intelligent. I would guess that he is UNDER 1 year of age.
